Radiolarien, Edi D. Winarni
Modell und Fotografien / Model and Photographies
Radiolarians are amoeboid protozoa that produce intricate mineral
skeletons, typically with a central capsule dividing the single cell
into inner and outer portions. Radiolarians are so tiny, that scientists
can take only one picture at one time of one of them from one side.
I built a model of a fictitious radiolarian, made of plastic rings (inside)
and paraffin (surface), to take a picture of it from the front
and from behind.
